JEFF KENT, ESQ.

Jeff Kent is a veteran educator and former attorney with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, including 15 years specializing in standardized test preparation with Access Test Prep & Tutoring. He is widely recognized for his highly personalized approach to test prep, tailoring strategies to each student’s unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning style to help them reach their full potential on the ACT, SAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT.

Jeff currently teaches AP Statistics, AP Calculus, and AP Research at a magnet high school in Cobb County, giving him deep insight into the advanced math, reading, and analytical skills required for top standardized test performance. He has previously taught a wide range of accelerated and Advanced Placement courses, including Post-AP Advanced Mathematical Topics, AP Seminar, Pre-Calculus, Algebra, and AP Computer Science. He is AP teacher-certified in Statistics, Calculus (AB & BC), Research, Seminar, Computer Science, Economics, and American Government.

A respected leader in mathematics education, Jeff helped revise the Georgia Mathematics Standards for the Georgia Department of Education and led the development of four new statewide high-school courses: Linear Algebra with Computer Science Applications, Differential Equations, Data Science, and Advanced Data Science. He has presented professional development seminars for the Cobb County School District, Georgia Department of Education, the American Statistical Association, and the College Board, sharing best practices for teaching rigorous, high-level analytical and quantitative reasoning.

Jeff has been recognized multiple times for excellence in teaching. He has been nominated by colleagues for Teacher of the Year, won his school’s “Above and Beyond” Award (selected by students), and was a two-time finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching—the nation’s highest honor for STEM educators.

As a tutor, Jeff is known for his calm, structured, and highly effective approach to standardized test preparation and academic tutoring. He excels at breaking down complex concepts, teaching proven test-taking strategies, and building both confidence and independence in his students.
